SHIMoN is organising a series of workshops with Syrian refugees in Spain, Germany, England, and Sweden to explore how Syrian cultural practices have been brought to Europe and the UK, their connections to material heritage, and their impact on refugees' well-being and sense of home. The workshops are designed as convivial gatherings, bringing people together to share memories and discuss the role that heritage can play in the lives of those who left Syria during the war.
This is the first SHIMoN workshop organised by Isber Sabrine and Alda Terracciano with members of the Syrian community in Spain.
If you are interested in participating please send an email to Isber at esper.1985@yahoo.com and bring with you an object that you carried in your journey to Europe and/or a photo, which you took with your mobile.
